Not much changes....
But a bit of sunshine's always welcome
As was the frost earlier in the week
There's been some interesting evening skies.
And a rainbow
The grass is certainly green, and will need cutting soon
But this discarded, faded bunch of flowers adds a poignant note to the cemetery entrance - I wonder what the story is, that they are just thrown aside like this?

Today's pictures were taken earlier than usual, with the bright sunlight creating adding a bit of drama via flare and shadows. Still no sign of new foliage though.
And an atmospheric sunset earlier in the week.

Why are so many Fridays so dull and uninteresting looking? About the only way you can tell this shot from the one last week is the presence of a bus (a number 11 if you're asking).
There was another busy Sunday for visitors, some graves get a lot of care lavished on them
But Monday gave us a creepy looking start to the week as the world vanished behind the haar.
Still no headstone on the grave I went down to see on 5 February, although the tired old flowers have been removed and there's a new bit of colour where the stone will go.
There are a lot of sections of the graveyard still to explore, with this sign pointing to the most famous 'exhibit'. One day, one day.

Getting the usual boring views out of the way first as nothing much has changed yet. The skies are grey again and although you can see signs of buds on some of the trees if you go for a walk in cemetery, they don't show up from the fifth floor. Yet.
One bit looks a bit neater than before.
It's been a busy week for grave visiting, especially last Sunday when it was Mothers' Day. Fresh flowers were laid...
And there was a regular flow of cars in and out. Quite touching really.
But the highlight of the week, because we don't lack for excitement here, was the first ritual of oncoming Spring. A white van, a couple of guys and a bit of mowing. It's almost like Summer had arrived....
You have to take your entertainment where you can.
A more photogenic sign of the changing seasons is the arrival of some colourful glowing sunsets. There will be a lot more shots like this in the months ahead.
So let's end on a bit of music to say that Summer Is A-Comin. (Looking forward to seeing that lot again in July.)

Just the same old views to start with. Nothing changes. Well, not in a hurry.
Maybe a bit more of the geronimos will help brighten things up.
What does look interesting, but hard to see from up here, is the grave covered in snowdrops. You can just about make it out, just in front of a hedge to the left of the tree. Later I'd take a closer look.
We've had quite a few visitors appearing over the last week. This little group were there on Saturday.
Sometimes the weather makes things appear a little more dramatic, like this shaft of sun against the stormy sky.
And we had a mass magpie visit. But, of course, by the time I had the lens pointing in the right direction.... You can see one in the first pic and two in the second. You'll just have to believe me when I say there were six there a few seconds earlier. Would I lie to you?
So I went down to have a closer look at the grave with the snowdrop covering. All deaths are a tragedy to somebody, but some just have that extra coating of pathos. Underneath those little white flowers is a 21 year old guy who died in late 1989. Beneath his details it says he became the father of a daughter - in early 1990. Makes you wonder who decided on the snowdrops.
The grave is in a corridor that has quite a bit of floral activity.
If the weather holds I'll have another wander about next week and see what's of interest.
