We've had it all this week, from baking sunshine through to raging thunderstorm.  But today's just a bit.... dull again.






That tree I showed you last week still has it's strange colour variegation


So I've been down to take a closer look.  A friend has suggested it may be a handkerchief tree, aka Davidia inolucrata. (link)  And it looks like it might be, but now fading beyond the stage usually shown in most photos.  However I will defer to others in this.  I am to the identification and naming of vegetation what Boris Johnson is to diplomacy and possessing principles.








While was down in a part of the graveyard I rarely visit I took a few more pictures.






And, tucked away in the corner under an evergreen, the simple memorial to the stillborn.


I like graveyards....
