16 December 2016

I was hoping that, by the end of the year, I might have some shots of snow shrouded gravestones, or even just a severe frost.  But it seems Climate Change will be denying me these small pleasures and the unreasonably warm weather will continue.  With a bit of drizzle thrown in.

So this morning was grey, the view below increasingly stark.

Earlier in the week this bush still looked colourful from up here

But today it's already that bith less vivid

And close up even less so

There was sunshine earlier in the week, and some workmen engaged in the complex business of getting some of the old fallen gravestones upright again

My walk down there yesterday was under cloudy skies and an artificially early sense of twilight.  But I'm still finding interesting inscriptions, and shapes, I haven't noticed before

And the holly tree has lost it's red pinpricks

In today's rain, an umbrella protected graveside visit.  We get to see a lot of sadness from this window

Two more weeks to go.  I'm not optimistic about that snow.
